NHS England funded centre, 'Child House' for vulnerable children, Lewisham, London.
‘Child House’ will bring together all services for children and young people who have been subjected to sexual abuse in the South East London NHS region. Following a pan-London review, Studioshaw has been engaged to collaborate on a new vision for NHS England, funded by Guys and St. Thomas’ Charity.
This transformational approach represents the first opportunity to translate the vision into a purpose-built facility. Every aspect of the design will respond to the need to create a setting where children and young people experience an environment that is safe, dignified, minimises anxiety and supports recovery.
It is also our ambition that the South East London Child House provides an exemplary service and sets a new benchmark in quality for others to follow across the UK. From the earliest stages we have worked closely with the NHS team, to consult widely and conceptualise the project.
Ken Cowdery, Client representative; “Mark and I have been working together on an important and fascinating project that aims to improve outcomes for sexually abused children. Mark’s contribution has been outstanding and much valued by the client and team members. I would have no hesitation in recommending studioshaw to help with your project.”
