Practice
Our Architecture practice was established in East London in 2016 by one founding director, we are now a growing, ambitious, multi-national team of nine.
Now based in the heart of the Shoreditch triangle, our big ideas have led to winning projects, from a £5,000 pop-up exhibition to a £20m new build, mixed-use scheme.
We have a focus on low energy, sustainable development and we call this approach ‘Re:Low’. Our projects are underpinned by this philosophy and our core focus is to re-purpose, re-cycle and re-store aiming to deliver low-tech, low-impact and low-maintenance buildings. We apply this to all of our projects, helping to minimise their impact on the planet.
We are trusted by business owners, entrepreneurs and private clients to deliver their vision by understanding their needs and bringing unexpected, original solutions to the table. We work with our clients from the very start of their project journey. We listen, help crystallise their vision, then refine and test through research, to bring their projects to life. We assemble the right team of experts, led by a dedicated project lead, working collaboratively to build trust and achieve our common goal.
We are architects who get operational businesses. We deliver both quality design and project efficiencies whilst never compromising the end result.
We’ve delivered projects that have broken the mould for both start-ups and larger, established developers. We are forever entering new territory; our studio ethos is to lead, not follow the pack. We thrive on next generation projects, regardless of whether they are for founder-led SMEs or FTSE established organisations.
Over 9 years we have attracted a growing base of loyal and ambitious clients. Our loyal client base includes recurring projects with some of UK’s leading developers and maverick business-owners. We are proud to have worked on industry-recognised one-off projects, secured through both word-of-mouth recommendations and one-off, invited competitions.
We are based in a ground floor unit on Rivington Street, Shoreditch, East London.
What We Do
Architectural Design
As a leading architect in East London, we translate your vision into spaces that feel right, work beautifully, and meet every technical standard. From early concept sketches through to construction administration, we manage the full process, preparing detailed drawings, coordinating consultants and contractors, securing planning consents, and supervising the build. Every project reflects our commitment to design that adds measurable, long-term value.
New Build
We design new buildings from the ground up, bringing ambition, rigour, and civic purpose to every site, however complex. As an experienced new build architect in London, we have delivered projects ranging from a single bespoke private house to large-scale urban development. Catching Sun House in Walthamstow is a low-energy, low-maintenance residence crafted on a tight infill plot, recognised by RIBA London and featured on Channel 4’s House of the Year 2025. Bridge House in Hackney Wick is a 6,250m² mixed-use residential scheme won through open competition, delivering 40 dual-aspect homes, community spaces, and a new colonnade fronting the Hertford Union Canal.
Extensions & Renovations
Whether you are adding space to a family home or reconfiguring a commercial property, our extension architects in London bring the same design intelligence to projects of every scale. We help you maximise the potential of your existing building, through carefully considered layout, light, and materials, ensuring the result feels like it was always meant to be there.
Interior Design
Interior design is central to everything we do, not a finishing layer. As an interior design studio in London, we design interiors that feel considered, atmospheric, and enduring, working across hospitality, cultural, workplace, residential, and heritage sectors. We shape spaces through light, colour, material, and craft at every scale, from a bespoke members’ club to a private home. Our sister company, Studioshaw Inside, focuses exclusively on interior design, extending the same standard of creative thinking to projects where the interior is the primary scope.
Hospitality Interior Design
We specialise in hospitality interior design for operators who want spaces that genuinely move people. From members’ clubs and restaurants to hotels and event venues, we understand atmosphere, flow, and the sensory experience of a room. Our hospitality work includes Kindred at Bradmore House in Hammersmith, Bistrotheque in East London, and the interior design concept for Astor Victoria, each a distinctive environment shaped by material honesty, light, and an understanding of how people gather.
Planning Permission & Heritage Consents
Navigating planning can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. As a planning permission architect in London with deep experience across the capital’s most complex boroughs, we prepare and manage the full submission process, from design statements and drawings to coordination with planning officers. We are equally experienced as a listed building architect in London, having delivered sensitive, successful interventions for Grade II and Grade II* listed buildings in Soho, Islington, Hammersmith, Wiltshire, and North Yorkshire, working collaboratively with conservation officers at every stage.
Commercial Architecture
As a commercial architect in London, we design workplaces, retail environments, and mixed-use schemes that balance design quality with operational efficiency. We understand how businesses work and create spaces that support productivity, communicate brand identity, and deliver long-term commercial value. Our clients include Shaftesbury Capital, Stanhope PLC, General Projects, and Time + Space.
Sustainable Architecture
Sustainability is not an add-on, it is a mindset that shapes every decision from the outset. As a sustainable architect in London, our Re:Low framework; Re:cycle / Re:store / Re:purpose alongside Low:tech / Low:impact / Low:maintenance, guides our approach across every project type. We integrate passive solar design, energy-efficient systems, low-embodied-carbon materials, and Passive House strategies where appropriate, creating buildings that perform well for people and the planet long into the future.
Retrofit & Refurbishment
We bring contemporary thinking to existing buildings, unlocking their potential while respecting their history. From sensitive heritage interventions to large-scale retrofit programmes, we balance craft, cost, and carbon to create spaces that feel both rooted and renewed.
