Project description

We were approached by Craig & Rose Paints to design an immersive installation for London Design Fair 2019. The project was a collaboration with colour consultancy Studio Justine Fox who had developed 12 new paint colours inspired by the Bauhaus art and design school.

Our idea was to create a series of fragmented rooms defined only be their corners. These L shaped timber walls would be arranged to create a variety of spaces and routes through the installation. The Bauhaus is synonymous with the square, triangle and circle shapes and so these iconographic openings were strategically placed to created surprising views of specific colour combinations.

Down the centre of the pavilion were pairs of ‘Kissing Chairs’, designed to reinforce this idea of colour combinations. These allowed visitors a chance to pause and created an experience that they could interact with.

The project was very popular on social media and successfully raised the profile of the brand, resulting in a high level of engagement, press and footfall.
